Service Description
A Healing Kundalini Yoga class is a deeply transformative and spiritual practice designed to awaken and balance your body, mind, and energy system. Kundalini Yoga is often described as the “Yoga of Awareness” because it aims to raise consciousness and tap into the dormant energy within you (the Kundalini energy), typically believed to be located at the base of the spine. Structure of a Healing Kundalini Yoga Class: Tune In: Most Kundalini classes begin with a specific chant or prayer to help participants tune into the present moment and align their energy. This is commonly done with the chant “Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo,” which translates to “I bow to the divine wisdom within.” It is used to connect with the higher consciousness, the inner teacher, and the universe's energy. Warm-Up and Breathwork (Pranayama): The teacher leads a series of breathwork techniques designed to energize and prepare the body for deeper practices. One of the most common forms of breathwork in Kundalini yoga is called "Breath of Fire" — a rapid, rhythmic breath through the nose. This invigorates the nervous system, detoxifies the body, and prepares the mind for focus and meditation. Kriyas (Sequences of Postures): A central component of Kundalini yoga is Kriyas. Mantras and Chanting: Sound plays a powerful role in Kundalini yoga. The class may involve chanting mantras—sacred sounds or words repeated aloud or internally to shift energy and bring about healing. Meditation: Healing Kundalini classes often include a meditation portion that is deeply focused on quieting the mind, enhancing awareness. You can then lay down flat listening to the sounds of different instruments. A sound bath is a therapeutic practice where participants immerse themselves in soothing sounds and vibrations produced by various instruments like singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, or chimes. The sound waves created during a sound bath are said to have a healing effect on the body and mind. How it works: Sound waves can help induce a deep state of relaxation, reduce stress, and promote balance in the body. The vibrations from the instruments can align energy centers (like chakras) and help release negative energy. Benefits: Sound baths are believed to reduce anxiety, improve sleep, enhance emotional healing, and promote a sense of calm. It's often used in meditation and wellness spaces to support mindfulness and inner peace. An oportunity to share with your partner or a couple of friends. Maximum 3 people.
